So the viola classes are a hit. Grace had her first round of performances with her strings class this past week. She performed at the Plaza in old downtown Garland and at Northpark Mall. They played songs like "Jingle Bells", "Ode to Joy" and a few others. I have to say, I was very impressed. They sounded great! I will admit that I had the expectation of going and hearing a lot of out of tune music. (Flashback to episodes of the Cosby Show, when the family watched Vanessa play the clarinet...) But these 4th and 5th graders sounded beautiful. She's really enjoying it and I'm getting a little less nervous about taking care of this instrument.
