Well, the time has finally come. I am back where I started. But, now I'm on the other side of the desk. I am officially a teacher at Garland High school, my alma mater. I have to say that as a student there, I had little school pride. But, as I have been around a few other schools since, I have come to appreciate the specialness of GHS.
I'm also very excited to be working at the same campus as my husband. Attending games will be a lot less complicated now. And, I have the privilege of working with a few of the outstanding educators that taught me as a teen.
It is strange seeing all the behind-the-scenes stuff that goes on - faculty rooms and teacher meetings - but I'm sure I'll get used to it quickly.
